If you’ve never seen lions before in your life, it would be very hard to recognize these vicious, yet interesting beasts after a good tussle with buffaloes. It was yet another interesting afternoon in Duba as OB and his guests watched the lions take advantage of the mud to take down buffaloes. On this day the Duba pride of 4 took down 2 fully grown buffaloes and a calf. More food than what they really need for a meal. Now we can believe when it’s said “Lions are opportunistic hunters”

Duba Lions have gone against the theory of “Lions hunting at night and early mornings of the day” as they most of times hunt buffaloes in the heat of the day. This time they took down their prey just after midday.
