Always wanted to take home that secret Relais and Chateaux recipe?

No matter where one travels in the world, you will always discover that at sometime during your travels there will be a meal that simply tantalises your taste buds and the mere memory of that gastronomic feast makes you salivate as you hark back to the experience.

Cuisine is part and parcel of any travel experience and even more so when in safari. Being located and hosted in remote destinations heightens the sense of amazement when you are presented with a dish that simply defies expectation.

Throw in the night sounds of the African bush as you sit around a roaring fire or migrating wildlife passing your breakfast table and there is nothing to beat it.

So why not spend time with a Relais and Chateaux inspired and accredited chef when next on safari and learn the art of fine safari inspired cuisine? On a four night stay at our Relais and Chateaux properties, Zarafa or Zarafa Dhow Suites in Botswana and Kenya’s ol Donyo Lodge and Mara Plains, this experience awaits. During your stay you will be offered the opportunity to spend a morning with our kitchen teams preparing high tea and learning our recipes. An afternoon session with the chef allows you to learn “that secret” recipe for that evening’s dinner whilst you help with the prep. Our kitchen’s are small and bustle so groups are limited to 4 guests maximum at a time. This is a perfect way to ensure you spend quality and personalised time with our camp chefs.

This is an ideal opportunity for those travellers that have an interest in cuisine and who want to spend some interactive time with our chefs and cooking teams. This interaction should be seen as one that is fun, immersive and interactive experience

All relevant costs will be customised for you as they are based on your property chosen, your travel dates and any additional services we can confirm for you at the time of enquiry.
