WELCOME TO GREATER MANA EXPEDITION
The Greater Mana Expedition is an adventure safari in the private Sapi Reserve. Set on the eastern boundary of the Mana Pools National Park, the 250,000 acre Sapi Reserve forms part of a 1.6 million acre Unesco World Heritage site and the core of the Middle-Zambezi Biosphere Reserve. Together Sapi and Mana Pools represent hundreds of thousands of acres protected wilderness recognised as some of the most beautiful in Africa. With 80% to 85% of these two wildlife areas traversable only on foot, this is a dream walking safari destination.
During the course of the 6-night/7-day Greater Mana Expedition guests explore this massive and beautiful area from the ancient baobabs of Mana Pools to the dry Sapi River to the mighty Zambezi, on foot, by vehicle and by boat. Each departure is limited to just 6 guests who explore the area, in a fun, active, memorable adventure accompanied by professional wildlife guides. Guests are accommodated in simple, yet tasteful explorers-style tents complete with en-suite facilities. On nights 3 and 4 of this cross-concession adventure, travelers sleep among the trees and under the stars at the Sapi Starbeds, raised platforms (with a second bedroom under the platform), built on the banks of the dry Sapi River.
Everything about the Greater Mana Expedition is both adventurous and imbued with Great Plains Conservation’s defining ethos: exquisite attention to detail, beautifully appointed locations, outstanding guiding, non-negotiable safety measures, fine dining and inimitable style.
