This Réserve-Collection luxury safari camp is located on the private 130,000-hectare Selinda Reserve, which boasts large herds of elephants, sightings of the African wild dogs, and the famous Selinda Lion Pride, as featured in National Geographic’s film “Birth of a Pride” by Dereck and Beverly Joubert.
The Selinda Suite represents the meeting place of three cultures: European, Mokololo, and Bayei. The area around the Suite holds the true spirit of Africa and is an excellent example of a natural Botswana ecosystem embodying a variety of species and rare animals.
This private 2-bedroom Suite is themed to resemble that of the thatched village of Sangwali. Its architectural design elements centre around Water, Air, Earth and Fire. Spears, shields and an African version of Robinson Crusoe are the enduring themes throughout the camp. Selinda Suite’s design pays homage to Water, with splashes of blue and the crystal-clear swimming pool offering views over the equally immaculate Selinda Spillway to welcome your arrival.
There is a spa in the central area of Selinda Camp. However, guests can also enjoy a range of treatments in the privacy of their Suite or on the open-air deck with views towards the Selinda channel.

The afternoon breezes that ripple the endless sea of nearby grasses are a tribute to Air. Earth is represented in the cornucopia of home-grown meals lovingly prepared in our kitchens, fresh from the earth. The bright flames of our evening Fire complete the ethos of being in harmony with nature’s natural elements. In some cultures, a fifth element, ‘metal’, is also incorporated into the suite’s design.
The Selinda Suite operates exclusively, as guests enjoy their own private vehicle, safari guide, chef, and butler.
With a private entrance, guests enter the 2-bedroomed Selinda Suite into the covered dining and lounge area, with views flowing outwards over a private deck and swimming pool toward the Selinda Spillways.
Two bedrooms flank this central area and offer guests a haven in which to retire after a day’s adventures. An environmentally friendly air conditioning system is placed over the expansive bed, along with a standing fan.
A luxurious mosquito net is draped around the bed.
The en-suite bathroom is complete with hand-beaten brass baths, double hot and cold-water vanity basins, an indoor shower and a flush toilet.
A professional camera and a selection of lenses is available for your complimentary use. At the end of your safari stay with us, your wildlife images and video footage is downloaded as our gift to you to take home.

The services of a private wildlife viewing vehicle and guide are included in the nightly rate at this safari camp. Guests can explore the full extent of the private Selinda Reserve in their private open-vehicle safari drives, with their guide on a guided bush walk or the permanent waterways in the area by boat. Tag-and-release seasonal fishing is also available. Water-based activities are also water level-dependent at times during the year.
These safari viewing experiences are designed to put you in front of the area’s best wildlife, with opportunities to experience various wildlife experiences and habitat areas.
