Guests enter The Jahazi Suite at Mara Plains through beautifully carved, ancient Zanzibari doors, which lead into a central private lounge and dining area. Two large, expansive guest bedrooms flank this central area. Each bedroom has a walk-through wardrobe, double basins, a private toilet, an indoor shower and a brass bath. There is a ceiling fan over the expansive beds and a writing desk where guests can capture their thoughts and inspirations during their stay with us.

The private Olare Motorgi Conservancy lies on the northern boundary of Kenya’s Maasai Mara National Reserve. Guests of Mara Plains Camp and the private Jahazi Suite at Mara Plains are the only ones with access to wildlife viewing in this private conservancy, the Maasai Mara National Reserve, and the private Mara North Conservancy!
Mara Plains is a sanctuary for resident wildlife species, including many of the Maasai Mara’s 300 bird species. After dark, larger mammals frequent the camp, and Maasai warriors keep a watchful eye out while guests sleep.
