Myself, Tara Wagner, and James Walsh were lucky enough to recently spend time at the new Franschhoek House at La Residence in Franschhoek, Cape Town.
We were completely blown away by the incredible outdoor heated pool that overlooks the vineyards, and we all agreed this may quickly become one of the most Instagrammable pools in Africa.
The six-bedroom Franschhoek House pairs perfectly with the likes of Africa House in the Northern Greater Kruger and is the ideal family villa for those seeking privacy and luxury in the town of Franschhoek. Liz Biden’s flair for colour and charm is reflected in the décor, with each of the suites individually designed and decorated. We loved the games room—or Long Room, as it’s more commonly called—on the first floor, and we were tempted to play snooker while enjoying the breathtaking views beyond the glass doors!
The villa feels like home and comes with everything one would expect, including a private chef, an interactive kitchen, comfy nooks and patios to relax in, and a wonderful team of dedicated staff to ensure your every need is met.
