Inspiration for this Mara Plains cocktail
The inspiration behind this cocktail is to give guests an adventurous drinking experience, just like the adventurous safaris we offer at Mara Plains.
The Mara Plains cocktail is an elevated take on a gin and tonic, with flavours that will pleasantly burst on your palate. Fresh and fruity notes of cucumber, sweet Midori watermelon liqueur, zesty lime juice, and floral Inverroche gin are balanced by a dash of chilli to cut the sweetness and add a touch of spice.
It is all topped off with a fizzy splash of tonic water, which, fun fact, contains quinine, which was historically used to prevent malaria. It is almost good enough to replace the need for anti-malaria pills. Just have a Green Plains cocktail, and you’ll be good to go. (Only kidding; we still recommend you talk to your health care practitioner before heading out on any safari.)
Cheers!
