As part of our continued commitment to wellness, sustainability, and thoughtful luxury, guests staying at our Réserve-Collection safari camps in Botswana can now indulge in a bespoke tea experience, thoughtfully curated in partnership with TWG Tea – “The world’s finest luxury tea brand”.
This new experience introduces a slower, more mindful rhythm to the safari day — a moment of calm between adventure and awe. While traditional sundowners may evoke the familiar clink of ice in a G&T, this elevated tea experience offers an equally refined alternative. A warming cup of Moroccan Mint or a floral Grand Jasmine sipped as the sun sinks behind the fever trees becomes its own ceremony — one that honours the senses and the setting in equal measure.
The curated selection includes six TWG teas chosen for their health and wellness benefits:
- English Breakfast Tea – Robust and classic, this full-bodied black tea is best enjoyed first thing in the morning, whether taken black or with a dash of milk, to awaken the senses gently.
- Sencha – A light, invigorating green tea rich in Vitamin C and theine, perfect after brunch or lunch, particularly after a midday rest or spa treatment.
- Earl Grey – Fragrant and uplifting, this black tea infused with bergamot makes for an elegant mid-morning or late afternoon companion — especially when paired with light bites or journaling time.
- Moroccan Mint Tea – A refreshing and herbal blend ideal after an afternoon safari drive or as a gentle digestive before dinner.
- Grand Jasmine Tea – Delicate and floral, this soothing green tea is ideal for early evenings, as the sun dips below the horizon and the bush quietens into stillness.
- Chamomile – Golden and theine-free, this calming brew is best sipped just before bedtime, inviting restful sleep after a day of adventure.
This is more than just another addition to our in-camp offering. It is a celebration of a conscious, bespoke guest experience — a way for guests to engage with safari life more deeply, more meaningfully, and entirely on their own terms. Because at Great Plains, we believe true luxury is the sum of two increasingly rare elements: time and space — and both are offered in abundance here.
