Once a month, we enjoy hosting an ‘open mic’ version of Great Plains Imagery, highlighting the safari experiences shared by our guests and guides.
Instead of keeping the spotlight for ourselves, this provides us with a glimpse into what our guests and guides have observed each month.
February is traditionally a month that not many frequent, although our bookings have been very robust. Looking at the sightings, I can see why.
Most notably, there was a very active lion-giraffe kill and a defence that I have certainly not seen the likes of before.
There is always something going on at Great Plains, and as I consider this, I ask myself why.
The answer is simple.
We have a great spread of camps across three countries, with each camp located in a different region, which means there is something going on all the time.
As National Geographic Explorers, Beverly and I have had the opportunity to preselect the finest places where we wanted to film. Each has turned into a great safari destination as a result. These areas are a hand-picked selection for precisely what you will see in this week’s video: variety and excitement.
Our safari guides are experts in understanding and showcasing the wildlife experiences which are influenced by each season’s nuances in the areas in which they host guests.
One thing is certain, it’s happening somewhere!
