As I weigh up the two opposing stories of this week, I vacillate between the winds of war and the call of the wild.
This week’s World Wildlife Day is a reminder that this too shall pass, and when it does, what we will be left with is the resilience of nature and the wildlife within it, from a spiritual, intellectual and emotional standpoint.
Nature is our refuge.
World Wildlife Day resonates with me personally for many reasons. Each one clicks by, marking time annually, yet it is also a flag of success in the battlefield of survival for us, for nature.
One small example is this video of an endangered species appearing at just one of our Great Plains camps, making it their own, accepting that we are part of their world, and moving on.
