Great Plains

Wellness Without Walls

Each of our safari camps pays special attention to a few key aspects to enrich your stay. There are touches of care and kindness that generally fall into the category of Wellness.

Those touches may be a massage, a special smoothie, plant-based menu options, or just peace and quiet alongside a river.

Our new gym at ol Donyo Lodge is extremely popular, as is our spa, which has two entrances: one through the doorway and another via the pool.

However, we aim to take the philosophy of Wellness further in our ambition to spread Wellness to those around us. Especially to our communities, as we discuss healthy minds in healthy bodies within a healthy environment.

We continue to feed just under 20,000 children each day and plant trees to clean up our air. We protect and rewild areas to enhance mental Wellness and soothe troubled spirits from the overcrowded, over informed, and overstimulated lives so many of us lead. This helps to improve the Wellness of elephants, giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife we transport across countries to release into freedom.

It is this ‘wild freedom’ that we focus on at Great Plains, something we should all nurture in ourselves.

Taking a breath, meditating as the sun comes up and then going out to spend time with cheetahs on the move all feeds us, makes us happier, making us ‘well.’
