When the Mount Nelson first opened its doors in 1899, it quickly set a new standard for luxury in Cape Town, becoming one of the first hotels in the city to offer the modern convenience of hot and cold running water—a true mark of elegance at the time. Over the years, the hotel has welcomed a remarkable array of guests, including world leaders. More than just a historic landmark, the Mount Nelson is woven deeply into the fabric of the city’s story, standing as a graceful and enduring symbol of Cape Town’s rich heritage and timeless charm.

One of the highlights is the signature Mount Nelson Tea! Subtly infused with rose petals picked from the hotel’s own gardens. The soft pink hues of the tea pay homage to the hotel’s iconic colour, offering guests a taste of its rich heritage with every cup.
Perched right near one of the world’s most incredible natural sights, the Victoria Falls Hotel has been welcoming guests since 1904. With its charming architecture, wide verandas, and beautiful gardens, it’s a place where history and comfort come together. Modern touches are blended in just enough to keep things comfortable without losing that old-world feel. Whether you’re sipping afternoon tea in the Palm Lounge or taking in the views from the pool, it’s easy to see why this hotel remains a favourite stop after exploring the falls.

Farah Floris our Product Liaison for South Africa, recently visited The Winchester Boutique Hotel in Cape Town. This is what she has to say about her experience:
“From the moment we arrived, the upgraded Winchester Boutique Hotel felt truly magical.
The boutique style is evident throughout – from the elegant design to the welcoming atmosphere, you immediately get that special sense of place.
The courtyard is undoubtedly the highlight of the property – a serene oasis surrounded by lush trees and charming architecture. The vibe here is unmatched and really sells the whole experience. The staff’s attention to detail was exceptional; everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely special, from the parking bay to check-in and even porter service.
Our room was spacious and well-appointed, offering every comfort and convenience. A personal highlight was how efficiently the manager handled our request for a quick site inspection – he called to check in, and upon my mention of interest, arranged and personally took us on a tour of the rooms, restaurant, and spa.
The dining experience at the Winchester is another standout. Shoreditch Restaurant is lively and stylish, with an extensive cold breakfast selection and an à la carte warm menu that caters to every preference. Harvey’s Bar and the courtyard further extend the social, relaxed ambience – and you’re welcome to enjoy meals anywhere, including outside in the courtyard setting. The sunsets here are absolutely spectacular and elevate the entire experience.
The hotel is also ideally located – just a short stroll from Sea Point Main Road and the Sea Point Promenade in walking distance to the promenade and local restaurants. As an added bonus, there’s a complimentary shuttle to and from the V&A Waterfront Mall, making getting around even more convenient.” – Farah Floris.
